My Infertility Journey
These are some books I have read and would recommend:
31 Days of Praise by Ruth and Warren Myers
This book was given to me by a lady in my Bible study. I was familiar with the book but had never read it. It was invaluable in my struggle to praise God even though things had not worked out the way I wanted. Not only did it have praises for you to repeat and apply each day for a month, but they explained the benefits of learning to praise God when things seemingly go wrong.
Get Out of That Pit: Straight Talk about God’s Deliverance by Beth Moore
This book I began reading while I was finishing her Bible study on the Psalms of Ascent. I was just coming out of a major depression and it was helpful in seeing how I had fallen into “the pit,” and practical applications for avoiding it in the future.
Any Bible Studies by Beth Moore
During this ten year journey, I completed, sometimes twice, every study Beth Moore has published. Each one had practical application to the stage I was in at the time I did the study.
Empty Arms by Pam Vredevelt
I read this book after my back-to-back miscarriages in 2007. It was a difficult time and was comforting to hear someone else’s story of loss.
The Infertility Companion: Hope and Help for Couples Facing Infertility by Sandra Glahn, T.M. & William R. Cutrer, MD.
Although I was familiar with most of the technology discussed, I liked the Biblical insights provided.
Inconceivable: Finding Peace in the Midst of Infertility by Shannon Woodward
When the Cradle is Empty: Answering Tough Questions About Infertility by John and Sylvia Van Regenmorter, Director of Stepping Stones
Hannah’s Hope by Jennifer Saake
